How do I apply for a CabCash Card?
You must be an existing CabCard Services Ltd customer. If you are, it is very easy to apply. You simply need to go to our www.cabcash.co.uk website and register for a card by clicking on the "Apply for a Card" tab.

Iím already a customer using a CabCard Services terminal, why do I have to register again to get a CabCash Card?
The CabCash card is a new and separate service. You are required to register your details and agree to terms and conditions in order to receive a CabCash Prepaid Visa Card.

I have applied but have not received my card yet. Why?
If you applied online, you will receive an email confirming that we have received your application. We need to carry out standard verification checks. Once the above check has been done, you will receive an email that either approves or declines your application. This usually takes approximately 48hrs, Monday to Friday only.

How long does it take to get my card?
After registering online, it normally takes 7 Ė 10 working days for the card application to be processed and for the card to be sent to your home address.

How is my £10.00 (ROI: €10.00) charge taken?
From the credit or debit card you provided to us when you made your online application.

When will my CabCard daily uploads of taxi fares start showing on my card?
Once you have activated your card, we will change your payments to daily payments (Monday to Friday). This will take a few days to activate, i.e. if your card is activated on a Monday, transactions will normally start showing on your card by Thursday.

Please note:
Transactions must be cleared before they can be processed to your card. VISA, MasterCard, Solo and Maestro transactions take 3 working days to clear. AMEX transactions take 6 working days to clear.

How can I view money received and money spent on my card?
All card activity can be viewed online at
www.cabcash.co.uk. You will need to register your card first. Please click on the "Cardholder Login" tab. You may also use the following link: https://prepaid.cabcash.co.uk/Login.aspx. If you have an account, you can enter your username and password. If you have not yet registered your card, please click on the "New User" tab and follow the online instructions ensuring that you remember your username and password.

How do the daily payments work?
Transactions must be cleared before they can be processed to your card. VISA, MasterCard, Solo and Maestro transactions take 3 working days to clear. AMEX transactions take 6 working days to clear.

Can I change back to my bank payments if I change my mind?
Yes. Please contact CabCard on 0845 491 8410.

Can I cancel the card?
Yes, simply call us on 0845 491 8410 and we will deactivate your card and return you to direct bank payments (BACS). Please remember, if you do not do this, you will continue receiving your transactions onto the card.

I have lost my card, what do I do now?
Please contact CabCash support on 0844 847 4425 and request a new card. There is a charge of £10 (ROI: €10.00) for a new card.

Can I check my balance at an ATM?
No. Your card balance is only available online or by contacting CabCash support on 0844 847 4425.

When the card expires, do I automatically get a new one?
Yes. One will be posted to you using the address details on the online application form. It is therefore important that you always ensure your details are up to date. If you change your address details, please contact CabCard on 0845 491 8410.

My address details have changed, what do I do?
Please contact CabCard on 0845 491 8410 and request that your new details are updated.

Can I top-up the card myself?
At the moment this facility is not available.

Is there a minimum balance on the card?
No.

Is there a withdrawal limit?
This will depend upon the bank ATM you are using to withdraw money from. Some have set limits for security purposes. You may withdraw what you have on the card subject to ATM charges. CabCash charge 75p/withdrawal (ROI: €1.25/withdrawal). There is no fee for card transactions at retailers where there is a VISA acceptance logo.

Can I go into overdraft?
No. You may only withdraw what you have on the card.

I donít have access to a computer, how can I view my account?
You can log into your account via a smart phone or online. Please go to the "Cardholder Login" tab on
www.cabcash.co.uk. You can also contact CabCash support on 0844 847 4425.

Can I have more than one card?
Yes. Please contact CabCard on 0845 491 8410.

What happens if I donít have enough money on my card to cover the cost of my purchase?
The card will be declined. Your card is no different to using a bank card with insufficient funds. Once you enter your PIN number the amount owed will either be approved or declined.

Can I draw money from an ATM when Iím abroad?
Yes. Please note that certain countries have different ATM charges. If you ensure you have sufficient funds on the card it can be used where there is a VISA logo. The money dispensed will be in the local currency. A currency conversion charge may also apply.

How long can I leave the money on the card?
Indefinitely.

Does the card have to be in my name?
Yes.

Why isnít my number on my card embossed?
Prepaid cards are not embossed.


What are the charges?

Usage Restrictions
Your card must not be used at unmanned payment terminals such as "pay at pump" fuel dispensers, ticket machines and car park payment machines or for any illegal purposes. If you have a card which you cannot use to withdraw cash, it also cannot be used to purchase foreign currency or pay credit card bills.

Transaction Fees (these fees will be deducted from your available balance)
A charge of 2.75 % will be levied on transactions in a currency other than that in which the card is denominated.

Cash Withdrawal Fees (these fees will be deducted from your available balance)
ATM withdrawals where your card is denominated in a currency which is the same as the currency of the ATM will incur a charge of £0.75 (ROI: €1.25).
ATM withdrawals where your card is denominated in a currency which is different to the currency of the ATM will incur a charge of £1.50 (ROI: €1.25).
Branch Counter withdrawals where your card is denominated in a currency which is the same as the currency of the ATM will incur a charge of £4.00 (ROI: €6.00).
Branch Counter withdrawals where your card is denominated in a currency which is different from the currency of the Branch Counter will incur a charge of £4.00 (ROI: €6.00).
Branch Counter withdrawals where your card is denominated in a currency which is different from the currency of the Branch Counter will incur an additional 4.00 % transaction fee charge.

Cancellation or Redemption
Card Cancellation Fee: £10.00 (ROI: €10.00). If you wish to cancel your card and redeem the funds, please confirm it in writing to CabCard Services, Marquis House, Isle of Man Business Park, Douglas, Isle of Man IM2 2QZ.

Other Fees
If you use your card at an ATM, you may incur an additional charge as set by the ATM Provider. Or there may be local charges in place that the Card Issuer or Distributor have no control over.

SMS Text Balance
Please contact CabCash support on 0844 847 4425 to check that your mobile number is registered for this service.
What to do:
Text the word "balance", leave a space and then add the last 8 digits of your card (PAN) number. For example, balance 44678977.
The number to send the text to is: 60060. £0.11 will be taken off your available card balance for each balance enquiry made. You will also incur a standard network SMS charge from your mobile provider per enquiry where applicable.
